ULTIMATELY LIGHT PREVAILS ...

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1 v5).

The Bible offers hope that while there is darkness in the world, ultimately light prevails. Timothy Keller once wrote: ‘The world is a dark place, and yet the coming of Jesus Christ shows no one and nothing is hopeless.’

Christ’s light can shine through the darkest situation offering hope and guidance. Jesus declared: I am the light of the world and whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. There is the invitation to all to follow him. For those who do follow him, may we remember that Jesus also said ‘You are the light of the world’.

In this dark world, may we hold onto the truth that light overcomes darkness and may we be a people who let our light shine before others that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5 v 16).

For His glory. Amen.
