Written in 1983 for the Spring Harvest Christian conference, "The Servant King" was inspired by our God - the King who serves. Prompted by a letter seeking songs on this theme, Graham Kendrick focused on Jesus’ humility, particularly washing the disciples' feet, to highlight that worship is a way of life.
The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
