JESUS OUR ROCK & FORTRESS!

A gatekeeper who worked for one of the American railroads, lived with his wife and little son in a cottage not far from the tracks. The line ran through a cut in the mountains, so there was little space between the tracks and the projecting rocks.
One day when the gatekeeper had just signalled the way clear for an approaching train, his little boy walked out of the cottage and down near the track. There was no time for him to reach the child to save him from the oncoming train, so he called out, “Cling to the rock, Johnny!” Johnny locked his tiny, little arms around the rough edge of the rock. The roaring train rushed past so close it brushed his clothes but Johnny remained safe because he held tightly to the immovable rock. Who or what do you cling to in life? Psalm 18 v 2 says:
"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold".
Just as Johnny clung to the rock, so we can cling to God who is the rock on whom you can depend in the highest high and the lowest low. The sure solid foundation through every trouble and trial.
Whatever you may be facing, may you be lead to the rock that is higher than I and may you cling to Him.
