Welcome to

TYLDESLEY
INDEPENDENT METHODIST CHURCH

A WORD ABOUT US

We meet every Sunday morning at 10:30am.

In addition to our Sunday morning services and other fellowship activities, we also aim to reach out to the community and show the love of God in as many ways as we can – through Sunday Morning Explorers, Family Fun Days, Together for Tea events and Carols around the Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve.  We also hold other various special events throughout the year including Praise & Worship events.

We provide teaching through Bible studies and sometimes have small study / discussion groups.  We've also run the Alpha Course, which is a great way for anyone to explore the meaning of life and the relevance of Christian faith today.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey – even if you feel you’ve not started yet – TIMC has opportunities for you: to search, to learn, to worship, and to work.  If you’re searching for truth and want to explore the Christian faith further, or if you’re a Christian who’s experienced doubts, or you’ve just moved into the area and are looking for a church to join – come and be part of our vision.

On this web site you can see some of the things we do.  We are an active church with a vision for the future – why not browse the site and then come and see for yourself?  You can also follow us on Facebook for up to date news and information.

Hi Kids
What's it all about?

THOUGHTS ON A FAVOURITE BIBLE passage

John 1: 1-18
What could one possibly say about this passage that hasn’t already been said? This is, of course, not only a very familiar passage, but also a favourite passage for many. It is the ‘standard’ exposition of the deity of Jesus. The writer spells it out clearly and unequivocally.

You can read more on this opening passage of John's Gospel by downloading the PDF full version.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.  All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

2 Corinthians 5: 17-18 (NIV)
